Combating Insecurity

If you’re like me, you overthink literally everything. Overthinking even the smallest of actions leaves me feeling tired and unhappy. Thus, I can’t do the best work that I can do.

Fighting overthinking has been something I have fought for years now and over time I’m getting better at managing it but that’s not to say that it will be going away anytime soon.

The best way to combat overthinking is to believe in your worth and abilities. Sometimes you are your best cheerleader, and you know what you need to keep going.

Run your own race. No matter your skillset there will always be someone who is “ahead” of you. And there will always be someone who is “behind” you.

It’s going to be hard, but trusting and being realistic about your skillset, while always striving to further it even more will flip your mindset, and one day you’ll see how far you’ve come.

Confidence isn’t something that someone is born with. It is hands down something that needs to be learned. You won’t learn it by looking at someone else who learned it so much faster than you. Keep your eyes on your path and you’ll reach it eventually. Be patient with yourself.
