My sister loves turtles. And I needed a project idea, so I decided to make her a turtle bookmark. It’s nothing too fancy, just a few turtles and some extra elements for pizzazz.
I did a rough sketch of my idea first and then added a light wash of watercolor overtop. It didn’t take long for it to dry and then I added layer by layer, saving the darkest colors last and using them at the bare minimum.
I used my metallic watercolors for the details (which are hard to pick up on camera. The picture doesn’t exactly do it justice) and let it sit to dry. It was a relaxing and simple project to do with a pleasing result. My sister loved it 🙂
